The Philippines, through the BPS, has established strategic standardization linkages to ensure the trading of Philippines’ products and services are facilitated. BPS strategic linkages include both at the local, regional and international level, to wit: membership in International Organization for Standardization (ISO), International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC), International Telecommunication Union (ITU), Codex Alimentarius, and membership in regional bodies like: the Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC), and the ASEAN Consultative Committee for Standards and Quality (ACCSQ).
