He or she will function much like a chief executive officer (CEO) of a private company, responsible and accountable for increasing the money flows - defined as both export earnings or investments, whether domestic or foreign.
The idea is to enable the investor or exporter or any businessman in a specific priority sector to have one central DTI contact point responsible for servicing his requirements.
It will be up to the brand manager to mobilize units within the DTI system, rather than the businessman to have to navigate his way from one DTI bureau to another.
