CPG Asec. Ernesto V. Perez delivers his Keynote Speech during the 10th CV Consumer Assembly on October 26, 2018 at the Piazza Zicarelli Hotel in Gamu, Isabela.
 
The DTI – Consumer Protection Group Assistant Secretary Ernesto V. Perez graced the 10th Cagayan Valley Consumer Assembly as Keynote Speaker.
 
The event, with the theme, “Making Digital Marketplaces Fairer”, culminated the month-long celebration of the Consumer Welfare Month in Region 02. This was held at the Piazza Zicarelli Hotel in Gamu, Isabela on October 26, 2018.
 
In his message Asec. Perez stressed that digital marketing aims to expand enterprises’ market reach in order to make better income to afford better services and quality goods. This will eventually lead to improved lives of the people thereby creating happy communities.
 
He also said, that “digital marketing shall break barriers to allow businesses to cross borders and connect, impacting production, trade and industrialization.” “When all municipalities are digitalized, there would be no more 1st class or 2nd class municipality but only world class municipalities,” he added.
 
Together with Director Domingo R. Tolentino of the Fair Trade Enforcement Bureau and DTI R02 officials, Asec. Perez awarded the Bagwis Seal of Excellence to 36 Bagwis awardees during the event which was attended by over 300 participants representing various consumer organizations, private sector, academe, media and regional line agencies.♦
