Coffee Export

Coffee, as an export product, is categorized under the REGULATED commodity and is therefore exempted from EO 1016 (the Executive Order on Withdrawing The Inspection, Commodity And Export Clearance Requirements On Philippine Exports). In view of the Philippines’ continued membership with the International Coffee Organization (ICO) and accession to the International Coffee Agreement (ICA) 2007, all exports of coffee are still subject to proper export documentations such as Commodity Clearance, Certificate of Origin, etc...

As mandated by law (Letter of Instruction (LOI) No. 1095 dated 6 December 1980 and Section 16 of Executive Order No. 133 dated February 1986) to oversee implementation of the terms of Philippine membership to the ICA and based on ICA provisions, the DTI thru the International Coffee Organization Certifying Agency (ICOCA) has come up with Procedures and Forms for efficient and effective management of coffee exports.
