On 14 December 2007, the DTI-Region 10 launched the National Economic Research and Business Assistance Center (NERBAC)-Northern Mindanao at the DTI Regional Office, Corrales Ave.-A.Lua Sts., Cagayan de Oro City. NERBAC-Northern Mindanao is a realization of the converging efforts of government agencies and private sector to establish a one-stop shop in the region as an answer to the clamor of the entrepreneurs/investors.

NERBAC-Northern Mindanao aims to accelerate the entry of investment and improve business by providing the necessary support assistance to prospective investors and existing business in the region. Among its services are business registration and licensing, one-stop export documentation, investment promotion, business information, incentives facilitation, financing facilitation, and economic research.

Representatives from the DTI, Social Security System (SSS), Philippine Health Insurance Corp. (PhilHealth), local government unit (LGU)-CDO, Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR), Home Development Mutual Fund (Pag-IBIG), and Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) are present in the Center every Thursday to serve the clients mainly on the processing and facilitating the business registration and licensing. Moreover, a Pre-Business Registration and Licensing Briefing is conducted every first Thursday of the month, 1PM-5PM, atthe DTI-Region 10 Conference Room, Corrales Ave., A. Luna Sts., Cagayan de Oro City.
