The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) conducted an Entrepreneurial Development Training to Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) on July 01, 28-29, 2016 in Cabarroguis, Quirino and Tuguegarao City, Cagayan respectively. 

DTI Cagayan Division Chief, Winston T. Singun spearheaded the training in Cagayan while Trade and Industry Development Specialist Mr. Lovell C. Campania led the training in Quirino. 

The activity aimed to inculcate the value of entrepreneurship and enhance OFWs knowledge on how to start their own business.

Through the close partnership of DTI and Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA), the conduct of this training made possible.

Topics discussed include, What it takes to be an entrepreneur, its benefits and advantages, Viable Business Opportunities, Personal Entrepreneurial Competencies (PECs) and Livelihood Enterprise Development among others.

A total of 128 OFWs from Quirino and Cagayan participated in the training. 

Overall, with the assistance of DTI, the participants were able to draft business plan as one of the requirements of OWWA and Land Bank of the Philippines for financing program.
