Dupax Del Norte Mayor Timothy Joseph E. Cayton received Bottom-Up Budgeting (BuB) fund worth Php 2 million from Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Nueva Vizcaya OIC Provincial Director Mr. Henry O. Conel, Jr. on August 31, 2016 in Nueva Vizcaya.

According to Mayor Cayton, the released fund will be used for women economic empowerment and mainstreaming green growth and sustainable development through the provision of the Shared Service Facility (SSF) to enhance women entrepreneur’s productivity and efficiency. 

The project aims to improve the lives of women and other marginalized groups in municipality by providing them the appropriate sustainable livelihood program.

Mayor Cayton sought the assistance of DTI in identifying the appropriate tools, equipment, and machineries for multi-product processing, business consultancy, capability trainings, and other SME development related services that are deemed necessary in making the project successful. 

OIC PD Conel said that the Department is much willing and ready to work hand in hand with the LGU from the initial stage of project implementation until it reaches a meaningful fruition.

Ms. Elvira V. Abella, Municipal Treasurer, Ms. Rowena F. Mayangat, STIDS, the MTIO of Dupax Del Norte and Mr. Jimmy N. Balmediano, Jr., AFMU Head of DTI Nueva Vizcaya were also present during the awarding.
