Britain’s Top Designer is a prestigious competition, with renowned judges from the industry, hosted by Fashion Finest to celebrate the best emerging designers in the UK. Herrera bested five other London-based designers with his latest collection ‘Agila’.

According to a report by Preview PH, one of the judges commented that the collection was fantastic saying: “The tailoring is just beyond heaven. The print quality—it's almost 3D. I'm completely blown away.”

Inspired by the Philippine eagle, Herrera’s Autumn/Winter Collection was showcased during his fashion show on the 20th of February at Freemason’s Hall in Covent Garden – which was hosted by UK’s independent showcase for emerging design talents, Fashion Scouts.

Herrera experimented with variants of Filipino tribal art and drawings of the Philippine eagle. In collaboration with Epson Philippines, he was able to copy his artworks unto fabrics using the dye-sublimation printing technology. The result is a winning and stunning world-class couture collection.

Herrera launched his brand in London in 2015, when he participated at the British Fashion Council’s International Fashion Showcase 2015 (IFS). He was one of the chosen delegates that year to represent the Philippines under the supervision of the Center for International Trade and Expositions and Missions (CITEM), the export promotion arm of the Philippine Department of Trade and Industry (DTI).
He went on to win at the London Emerging Designer Awards at Somerset House and showed his winning collection at the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in Tokyo in the same year. He also participated in London Collections, organised by Oxford Fashion Studio as part of the London Fashion Week 2016.
