Micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) are vulnerable to the economic impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic. The crisis is pushing more consumers to do online transactions and stimulate the adoption of e-commerce. Despite the rise of digitalization, it is crucial to identify the various challenges brought by it, including cybersecurity and data privacy concerns.

DTI-Region 6, in partnership with the Department of Information and Communication Technology (DICT)-Region 6, Nexusguard, and ePLDT, will conduct a webinar on Cybersecurity for MSMEs in the New Business Environment on 28 May 2021 via Zoom.

This activity aims to promote awareness among MSMEs on how to protect and secure their transactions using online and digital tools. Moreover, it is essential that MSMEs will be able to identify cybersecurity threats and how to combat them, as well as protect their data and valuable information.

This will result in well-informed MSMEs such that malicious attackers can be prevented from taking advantage of the disruptive effects of the crisis in the new business environment.♦
