The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Palawan Provincial Office conducted an intensive technical workshop for the Mabuhay Multi-Purpose Cooperative (MPC) in Kamuning, Puerto Princesa City on 9-10 August 2022.

The officers of Mabuhay Multi-Purpose Cooperative identify the stakeholders that are important to the success of the organization during a strategic development workshop conducted by DTI Palawan in Kamuning, Puerto Princesa City on August 9-10, 2022.

Under the Comprehensive Agrarian Reform Program (CARP), the workshop titled  “Strategic Development Planning Workshop for Mabuhay Multi-Purpose Cooperative” aimed to provide technical assistance in updating the cooperative’s organizational statements and operational plans. Moreover, the initiative enabled the participants to identify new business trends and challenges toward sustainable development and realization of their corporate goals.

The two-day face-to-face session was attended by 15 of the cooperative’s participants and was comprised of lectures followed by various breakout session workshops.

As a result of the development planning workshop, the participating Mabuhay MPC members expressed their appreciation for creating an organizational roadmap with one common goal, identified priorities with optimum use of resources, and investment options emphasizing the long-term impacts of current decisions. 

Mr. Francis Uapal, DTI Palawan Trade-Industry Development Specialist, emphasized the need for the officers to become proactive and motivational, and they need to promote a collaborating space for all its members to stimulate change and establish building blocks for their future endeavors.
