In accordance with the signing of R.A. 11032 or the “Ease of Doing Business and Efficient Government Service Delivery Act of 2018”, all government office and agencies covered under Section 3 of the said law are hereby mandated to review existing laws, executive issuances, and local ordinances and recommend the repeal of the same if deemed outdated, redundant, and adds undue regulatory burden to the transacting public in compliance with the provisions of the law. The Project Repeal has been closely working with 35 agencies for this cycle. On 12 December 2018, the 4th Repeal Day will highlight the achievements of the Project and the outputs of the agencies who have participated in the Project and provide platform for the ways forward in view of the signing of R.A. 11032. The event will also highlight the launch of the Project Repeal Manual and the Philippine Business Regulations Information System.

The submissions for the 4th Repeal Day are the laws recommended for review which will be turned-over to the Congress, and departmental issuances that the agencies have repealed, amended and consolidated in the previous years. As of 6 December 2018, there are already 21 laws recommended for repeal, amendment or consolidation while 158 departmental issuances that have been repealed, amended or consolidated have already been submitted by the agencies. More laws and departmental issuances are expected to be submitted before the Repeal Day.
