Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Region 10 empowers over 300 sari-sari store owners in Northern Mindanao with the launching of the “Tindahan Mo, e-Level Up Mo!”

In line to the Department’s call for Angat Negosyo, Tindahan Mo, e-Level Up Mo! is a program of DTI that is designed to digitally empower over one million sari-sari store owners across the Philippines. The initiative is to equip the participants with crucial digital tools and knowledge, and promote environmentally sustainable practices, ensuring their growth and resilience in the modern economy.

The program features a series of online sessions which will run for 5 months. Each module runs from 9:00AM to 10:30AM, every last Wednesday of the month, from June 26 to October 23, 2024.

More than 300 sari-sari store owners attended the first module on “e-Level Up ang Negosyo” in two DTI-10 Provincial Offices and 40 Negosyo Centers in the region, while other attendees stayed in their stores and joined online.

The program also covers various topics:

  • e-Level Up ang Online Marketing (July 24);
  • e-Level Up ang Puhunan (August 28);
  • e-Level Up ang Paninda (September 25); and
  • e-Level Up ang Operations (October 23).

Ms. Vicenta Pepito, sari-sari store owner and one of the participants who attended the first session of the program in Negosyo Center Tagoloan, thanked DTI for the sari-sari store advancement program.

Dako kayo mig pasalamat ani (We are very thankful for this).” Pepito said. “At least nadugangan among kahibalo about sa business bisag ginagmay (At least we learned something about the business even if our business is small).”

Daghan kaayong salamat sa DTI (Thank you very much to DTI).” ♦
