Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Misamis Oriental Rural Agro-enterprise Partnership for Inclusive Development (RAPID) Growth Program organized the “Basic Entrepreneurship Seminar for Youth and Young Farmers” on December 18, 2024.

Funded by the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD), RAPID Growth Project is a value-chain based and market-driven business development initiative that aims to propel agriculture-based processing enterprises and entrepreneurial communities to become innovative, productive, and competitive so that they will be capacitated in meeting the challenges of the global market.

The Basic Entrepreneurship Seminar for Youth and Young Farmers brought together the youth and young farmers, including the Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) members from the Municipality of Manticao, Misamis Oriental.

The seminar aimed to inspire and empower the youth and young farmers to view farming not just as a livelihood but as a viable and sustainable business opportunity.

It focused on equipping the participants with the essential knowledge and skills to turn their innovative ideas into profitable ventures. It included discussions on Business Idea Generation and Basic Entrepreneurship.

The program additionally emphasized the importance of developing an entrepreneurial mindset through a series of hands-on activities and encourage the youth to become proactive contributors to the agricultural industry and local economies.

The Basic Entrepreneurship Seminar for Youth and Young Farmers was organized in collaboration with the local government unit of Manticao and Negosyo Center Manticao. ♦
