

Tuguegarao City, Cagayan — The SSF-RTWG (Shared Service Facility-Regional Technical Working Group), led by DTI R2 (Department of Trade and Industry Region 2) Acting Regional Director Winston Singun and composed of the DTI Provincial Directors and Technical Consultants from Region 2, convened its second quarter meeting on 20 June 2024 at the DTI R2 Negosyo Center Hall, Tuguegarao City, Cagayan.
This was intended for the evaluation and approval of the SSF projects lined up for establishment and donation to DTI R2’s partner cooperators and tackle areas regarding the implementation of the program to further advance the operationalization and efficiency of the SSFs in the region.
The meeting delved into the presentation and evaluation of the proposed 8 (eight) projects, those with allocation: Expansion of Ginger Processing of DIOFARMCO, Food Processing Facility of PGQ (beneficiary: BAVIMCO), Expansion of Fruits Processing Facility of QLIFE, Fruits and Vegetables Freeze Drying Facility of QSU, all from Qurino and the NVAT Multi-Fruit and Vegetable Processing Center Expansion Project of Nueva Vizcaya; and those projects for pipeline: Livestock and Fish Feed Processing SSF of Wigan Settlers Multi-Purpose Cooperative and Upgrading of Sugarcane Processing Facility of Madaddala Farmers Marketing Cooperative of Isabela; and Buko Pie Processing and Pasalubong Center Upgrading Project of Alfonso Castañeda MPC of Nueva Vizcaya.
Also tackled were the status of the monitoring report for documentary requirements and the re-alignment of physical targets for 2025.
Further, the criteria for SSF Awards were reviewed, which serves as one of the components of the MSME Awarding Ceremony for the upcoming 2nd Regional MSME Summit to be held at SM City Tuguegarao on 11-12 July 2024.
Also present during the meeting were DTI R2 regional and provincial SSF focal persons, technical assistants, SSF cooperators, and technical consultant, Ms. Ragel Tacazon of DTI R2. ♦
