Victoria, Laguna — One of the programs of the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) programs is a continuous learning program for developing micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) to become competitive in the domestic and international markets. One strategy includes a partnership with other non-government organizations to provide MSMEs with “workshop-like training sessions” in the development of their operations.

On July 12, 2024, in line with the celebration of the MSME Week, DTI Laguna Provincial Office through its Negosyo Center Pila in coordination with BDO Network Bank Pila conducted a seminar entitled “Negosyo Mo, Sagot Ko” Developing Business Through Financial Opportunities at 2nd Floor, Training Room, DTI Laguna Provincial Office, Victoria, Laguna.

The seminar featured DTI Laguna Business Counselor Julie Flor Garcia and BDO Network Bank Managers, Ms. Laica Baldenarro and Ms. Shien Delos Reyes, who imparted their knowledge on entrepreneurial mindsetting and the importance of financial opportunities to business owners and entrepreneurship. In addition, the basic rights and responsibilities of a consumer were also discussed by Trade and Industry Development Specialist of DTI Laguna, Ms. Marites Pantua.

A total of forty-one (41) entrepreneurs benefited from the seminar. This seminar equipped them with the necessary tools and knowledge to keep up on the changing business environment.

To support local business enterprises, DTI-Laguna will continuously implement seminars for businesses to provide knowledge and resources that can help their business reach its full potential (JFCGarcia, DTI-Laguna). ♦
