VICTORIA, LAGUNA — The Department of Trade and Industry – Laguna Provincial Office (DTI-Laguna), through its Consumer Protection Division, regularly monitors the price and supply of basic necessities and prime commodities (BNPCs) in the key cities of Laguna.
On February 12, 2024, DTI-Laguna monitored a private supermarket in San Pablo City, Laguna. Based on the monitoring results, the establishment was found to be compliant with the suggested retail prices (SRPs) and it was observed that BNPC supplies remain stable. In addition, another private supermarket was also monitored in Los Baños, Laguna. The establishment was also found to be compliant with the SRPs.
To ensure consumer protection in the province, DTI-Laguna regularly conducts price and supply monitoring of BNPCs on a weekly basis. Store supervisors and staff are also reminded about the Price Tag Requirement pursuant to the Article 81 of the Republic Act No. 7394 or the Consumer Act of the Philippines. (ALSLinga, DTI-Laguna). ♦
