07292024_DTI-Laguna Negosyo Centers Step Up to the Next Chapter

Mabitac, Laguna — The Department of Trade and Industry – Laguna Provincial Office, with is continual advocacy to spread and educate the community, conducted a seminar entitled “Stepping to the Next Chapter: DTI Programs and Services, Business Licensing cum Consumer Education” on July 18, 2024. This was conducted together with its partner in the private sector, CARD-MRI Development Institute (CMDI), Inc., and their participants comprising aspiring micro-entrepreneurs.

A total of forty (40) participants came from different cities and municipalities. Business Counsellor Kent Arvin Cainto first discussed the programs and services that DTI provides for micro, small, and medium entrepreneurs — introducing what the role of DTI in the communities is especially in the business sector, protecting and promoting consumers’ rights, and what program the microentrepreneurs can participate in to boost their pieces of knowledge and enhance their skills. Afterwards, Cainto discussed the process and requirements of legalizing their business and what they can benefit from doing so.

In the last part of the seminar, Business Counsellor Kim Carlo Palacio talked about consumer rights and responsibilities. This part truly showcases the dedication of the Department of Trade and Industry to empower the community to make everyone happy. Their role of promoting consumer rights is crucial in maintaining a fair and balanced marketplace (KADCainto, DTI-Laguna). ♦
