The Negosyo Center Alaminos of the Department of Trade and Industry Laguna Provincial Office has partnered with the Local Government Unit of Alaminos in the conduct of a seminar entitled “Mastering Trade Fair Success: Comprehensive Guidelines for Exhibitors” as part of the latter’s preparation for their upcoming Coramblan Festival.

The seminar was held on September 30, 2024, at the Alaminos Municipal Conference Hall and was attended by 30 participants who are also the festival exhibitors. The seminar became a venue to provide guidelines on how to participate in trade fairs actively and responsibly. Additionally, it was able to provide information on business name registration and other business regulatory compliance and discuss consumer education for the welfare of their potential customers.

Ms. Marian O. Calongcalong, a business counselor assigned in Negosyo Center Alaminos, facilitated the seminar and acted as the resource person. Prior to her presentation, she led a prayer and subsequently engaged the participants in a simple game related to the festival celebration. The discussion proper followed afterwards. She emphasized that the upcoming festival celebration is an opportunity for all the sellers because it allows their valued products and services to be recognized, thus leading to greater sales. In line with this, as sellers, they are also responsible for ensuring a successful event by providing satisfactory products and services to the visitors. Following the discussion, the attendees raised follow-up questions about the selling locations and required fees and it was answered by the business counselor.

Before the seminar ended, certificates of participation were distributed to recognize and thank the participants (MOCalongcalong, DTI-Laguna). ♦
