
On May 24, 2024, during the Poverty Reduction, Livelihood, and Employment Cluster (PRLEC) awarding event in Barangay Mamuyao, Tanay, Rizal, a critical topic about entrepreneurial attitude took center stage. Business Counselors Jerome Montealegre and Christine Joy Padayao of DTI Rizal underlined the necessity of instilling an entrepreneurial spirit in local communities in order to promote economic growth and self-sufficiency.
Their discussion focused on essential concepts such as creativity, resilience, and strategic thinking, empowering participants to see obstacles as opportunities for business creation. BC Montealegre reiterated that these practical tips for understanding market requirements will help potential and existing entrepreneurs using local resources such as bamboo and upland vegetables.



This learning activity also encouraged participants to see entrepreneurship as a means of achieving long-term livelihood for them and their families. They were given business ideas on possible income generating activities for them.
Also present during the activity were representatives from TESDA Rizal, DOST Rizal, DOLE Rizal, Local Government of Tanay, Rizal and the completers of National Certificate II on Dressmaking of Barangay Mamuyao, Tanay, Rizal. ♦
