The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) – Rizal thru Negosyo Center (NC) Sampaloc-Tanay successfully conducted the Collaborative Harnessing Assistance for Mentoring Program for MSMEs in Rizal (CHAMPS) Season 5: Establishing Your Business Through Branding. Held last September 20, 2024, via Zoom Workplace, hosted by NC Business Counselor (BC) Cristine Joy Padayao. The webinar was joined by a total of 93 potential and existing CHAMPS beneficiaries.
BC Padayao started the webinar at 1:00 PM with the opening preliminaries. This was followed by a welcoming message from the Chief of Business Development Division of DTI-Rizal, Ms. Sharon F. Dioco who graced the program, and gave her empowering message to the MSMEs. “Branding is crucial dahil ito po ang magme-make or break ng inyong business, produkto o serbisyo. Hindi lamang po dapat masarap ang produkto at maganda ang serbisyo, it requires a strong and memorable brand that resonate with your target audience or target market,” said DC Dioco.

Moreover, BC Padayao introduced the resource speaker – Mr. Lucas Luchico, Creative Director of Publicis Groupe. Mr. Luchico started his discussion by defining and differentiating brand and branding. He focused the discussion on four (4) important things to do when branding a business: research, stand out, be there, and repeat the process. Following the discussion, Mr. Luchico invited participants to share their business logos and provided constructive recommendations on how they could enhance them.
CHAMPS serves as a localized remote mentoring program designed specifically for micro entrepreneurs, which objective is to aid micro entrepreneurs in preparing for more comprehensive DTI Programs such as KMME (Kapatid Mentor Me Program) and OTOP NG (One Town, One Product Next Generation). The CHAMPS Season 5 was launched last July 18 and will run every Wednesday until October 2024. ♦
