On June 24, 2024, the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) – Cavite, in partnership with the Local Government Unit of Bacoor City, successfully launched the “Tindahan Mo, e-Level up mo! A Sari-sari Store Advancement Program” at the Main Square Mall as a prelude to the simultaneous start of the live online viewing on June 26, 2024. The event was attended by 785 sari-sari store owners from Districts 1(East) & 2(West) of Bacoor City. This program is part of the more extensive Sari-Sari Store Enterprise Program, a significant initiative aimed at empowering over one million sari-sari store owners across the Philippines.
The program focuses on driving digital transformation, improving financial literacy, and promoting sustainable business practices among Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). These efforts are intended to make these enterprises more resilient, innovative, and competitive within the national economy.
During the event, DTI Cavite discussed the various DTI services available, including Negosyo Center Services, Business Name Registration, BMBE Registration, and the Fair Trade Laws. They also provided a detailed overview of the sari-sari store enterprise program, highlighting its benefits and opportunities for local business owners. Participants are expected to attend the five (5) modules designed for sari-sari store owners. ♦
