Under its Bottom-up Budgeting Program, a seminar for the Sensitization on the Promotion of Green Economic Development (ProGED) was held at the MVW Restaurant and Tourist Inn, Roxas City on March 9 and 10, 2107.

MSMEs, owners of business establishments, and heads of the academe attended the activity on March 9, 2017, while farmers and fisher folks were oriented of the program the following day.

“Let us be inspired and continue to adopt the greening strategies on energy efficiency, solid waste management, water savings and wastewater management adopted by many MSMEs to save cost and be economically competitive,” said DTI Capiz Provincial Director Ermelinda P. Pollentes.

Testimonies of MSMEs who have adopted green economic strategies were shared to the participants. Highlight in the two-day event is the commitment of other partner agencies and stakeholders in the city to jointly pursue green economic development.
