Mandaluyong, Philippines—–On 09 April, President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr., First Lady Liza A. Marcos, Special Assistant to the President Frederick D. Go, and Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Secretary Cristina A. Roque inaugurated the 2025 DTI Bagong Pilipinas National Food Fair at SM Megamall. This flagship initiative of the DTI showcases the Philippines’ rich and diverse culinary landscape, featuring over 250 food and beverage-based micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) across the country.
“This national food fair is more than a gastronomic celebration of our rich and diverse culinary heritage. It is a testament to the incredible talent, ingenuity, and industry of our local farmers and artisans—who bring pride and honor to our country,” emphasized President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.
Echoing this, Secretary Roque highlighted the significance of the National Food Fair as a platform to celebrate Filipino heritage, foster entrepreneurship, and drive economic growth.
“Today, we are celebrating what it means to be Filipino, expressed through the flavors, traditions, and stories across our regions. As we open the doors to this year’s National Food Fair, we also opening opportunities for our food entrepreneurs, our communities, and our national heritage,” Secretary Roque stated
“And each year, we are profoundly reminded of the very heart and soul of this event: our micro, small, and medium enterprises––our MSMEs––who continue to inspire us with their boundless creativity, unwavering resilience, and pursuit of excellence,” the trade chief added.

A key highlight of the event was the official launch of the DTI Bagong Pilipinas Marketplace, the country’s largest business-to-business (B2B) e-commerce platform dedicated to Philippine MSMEs. This platform directly connects local producers with institutional buyers and wholesale partners via a digital ecosystem, expanding their market reach on both a national and international scale.
The B2B initiative is part of the government’s Tatak Pinoy Strategy, which aims to boost the country’s industrial base and elevate the global competitiveness of Philippine-made products.
Built upon the pillars of innovation, sustainability, and inclusive growth, Tatak Pinoy empowers Filipino enterprises to advance within the value chain, tap into broader markets, and contribute to national development. By cultivating industries that reflect Filipino excellence, this strategy envisions a future where premium Philippine products are celebrated nationwide and recognized worldwide.
The fair also features themed pavilions, including the Fresh Produce Grand Marketplace, KAPEtirya: Philippine Coffee Pavilion, and KAINAN: Onsite Dining Area. These areas offer immersive culinary experiences complemented by daily activities such as live cooking demonstrations by renowned chefs, wine-mixing and food-pairing sessions, business dialogues, and cultural performances.
