MACAU SAR, 28 April 2025 – The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) of the Philippines, through its overseas trade and investment office in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (SAR) and Macau SAR, the Philippine Trade and Investment Center – Hong Kong (PTIC-HK), in partnership with the Philippine Consulate General in Macau SAR (PCG Macau SAR) and the Department of Tourism Shanghai office (DOT-Shanghai), supported the Philippine participation in the 13th Macao International Tourism (Industry) Expo (MITE) conducted from 25 – 27 April 2025 at Halls ABC, Cotai Expo, The Venetian Macao.

Organized by the Macau Government Tourism Office (MGTO), MITE is the only professional exhibition of international tourism, and one of the earliest exhibitions on tourism product consumption in Macau. In 12 years since its establishment in 2013, through professionalized, marketized, internationalized, and branded operations, the MITE has gradually developed itself into a tourism industry chain between the two major tourism resources, namely Mainland China and the international market, as well as an important guiding platform for exhibitors, buyers and other business partners to communicate and exchange insights.

In this year’s MITE, PTIC-HK supported the Philippine participation by featuring six (6) food and non-food companies’ products at the Philippine pavilion, including Century Pacific Food, Inc., Mama Sita’s, Pili Planet for food products while Roweliza, Dermtropics and Thian Rodriguez Manila for non-food products.

The featured companies at the Philippine pavilion also include eight (8) companies from the Philippines, Mainland China, Hong Kong and Macau who engage in tourism industry in the Philippines to promote their services to the visitors and traders.

During the three-day event, the Philippine pavilion showcased a wide range of offerings, including tourism-related services, food and beverage products, and Philippine craftsmanship, attracting numerous inquiries from traders and the public from Macau, Hong Kong, Mainland China, and overseas markets.
