On 11 February 2025, Commercial Counsellor Jollan Llaneza paid a courtesy visit to the Badan Penyelenggara Jaminan Produk Halal (BPJPH). The courtesy visit is a joint call with the National Commission of Muslim Filipinos (NCMF) delegation. DTI Jakarta conveyed the interest of the Philippines to pursue a mutual recognition agreement (MRA) between DTI and BPHPH to facilitate the recognition of Halal certification of Philippine products in the Indonesian market.

BPJPH is Indonesia’s Halal product assurance organizing body that reports directly to the Office of the Indonesian President and is the sole agency that accredits Halal certifications for imported products. ♦
