The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), through the Philippine Trade and Investment Center in Silicon Valley (PTIC-SV), together with the Philippine Consulate General in San Francisco (San Francisco PCG) and the Philippine Department of Tourism (PDOT) in San Francisco, joined the Filipino Day event at Hayward Twin Oaks Montessori School on 29 April 2025, part of the school’s annual Filipino Cultural Day initiative led by Filipino national math and science teacher Victoria Bernales. 

As part of the celebration, PTIC-SV representative Mylene Juan highlighted Philippine-made products available in the U.S. and distributed samples to students. San Francisco PCG shared basic facts about the Philippines and Filipinos, while the PDOT in San Francisco took students on a virtual tour of Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao, showcasing the country’s rich landscapes and cultural heritage. 

PTIC-SV remains committed to strengthening Filipino identity abroad while fostering greater appreciation for the Philippines’ rich heritage, innovative spirit, and global economic potential. ♦
