What:  Metro Fiesta: The National Capital Region Trade Fair and Exhibition
When:   4-8 December 2019
Where:   SM Megatrade Hall 3, SM Megamall, Mandaluyong City

Products of the National Capital Region are set to once again take the spotlight as the DTI-National Capital Region holds the regional trade fair and exhibition this December at the Megatrade Hall 3, SM Megamall, Mandaluyong City.

Dubbed as Metro Fiesta: The National Capital Region Trade Fair and Exhibition, the fair is centered on the theme design to entrepreneurial sensibilities. This is said to be inspired by the region's products and its history as the central trading outpost of the country since time immemorial.

The Metro Fiesta has over the years improved its offerings as it has constantly built on the success of previous fairs. This year is not going to be any different. Projected to attract more than 100 MSMEs from the different localities of Metro Manila, the fair and exhibition promises an even grander than that of its two previous iterations. It also aims to top last year’s fair which booked a total sales of more than nine million for the five-day event.

The NCR, by natural design, is wanting in natural resources due to the limitations in space. This was however compensated by the innate talents of inhabitants who were able to transform even the most basic of raw materials into the most exceptional products. This is what the regional fair is all about—the products and the people behind them.

Products set to take the limelight this year are processed foods, wearables (Footwear, Bags, Garments, Fashion Accessories), health and wellness, and home and holiday decors which are just in time for the Christmas season. These products are mostly from entrepreneurs who benefited from the One Town, One Product (OTOP) NextGen program and other programs of the DTI.

For 2019, the fair underwent some sort of re-invention as the organizers moved to highlight the strength of the region as a business center while retaining the Metro Fiesta branding as it has already established a following among fairgoers and exhibitors. Much focus has been placed this year on the historical place of the region in the country’s commercial history while highlighting the new products and innovations that are unique to NCR.

The Metro Fiesta: National Capital Region Trade Fair and Exhibition will run from the fourth to the eighth of December 2019, from 11 a.m. – 10 p.m. and is open to the general public free of charge.
