Outdoor dining in Cagayan de Oro City will reduce its operational capacity to 50% while indoor dining is at 10% in line with the city being placed under MECQ.

Barbershops and salons and dining establishments in Cagayan de Oro City will see a decrease in their operational capacity from 1-15 June 2021.

The changes in the operational capacity of some business establishments are in line with the recently released Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) Resolution No. 118-A placing Cagayan de Oro City under modified enhanced community quarantine (MECQ) from 1-15 June 2021.

Per the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Memorandum Circular 21-19, food preparation establishments such as kiosks, commissaries, restaurants, and eateries can operate 100% capacity under MECQ for takeout and delivery services only.

Outdoor dine-in services (al fresco) are allowed to operate at 50% while indoor dine-in services are at 10% capacity.

Barbershop salons, barbershops, beauty parlors, and nail spas will be limited to 30% operational capacity, limited to services that can accommodate wearing of face masks at all times by the patrons/clients and service providers.

Other personal care services including make-up salons, medical aesthetic clinics, cosmetic or derma clinics, reflexology, aesthetics, wellness and holistic centers, and other similar establishments; acupuncture and electrocautery establishments, and massage therapy including sports therapy establishments are not allowed to open during MECQ. This also includes establishments providing tanning services, body piercings, tattooing, and similar services.

Meanwhile, non-leisure wholesale or retail establishments, whether mall-based or otherwise, will have to decrease their operational capacity to 50% during MECQ. These establishments/activities include mall-based government frontline services, clothing and accessories, bookstores and school and office supplies stores, baby or infant care supplies stores, pet shops, pet food, and pet care supplies, information technology, communications, and electronic equipment, flower, jewelry, novelty, antique, perfume shops, toy store (excluding playgrounds and amusements which should be closed), music stores, art galleries (selling only), and firearms and ammunition trading establishment subject to strict regulation of the PNP-Firearms and Explosives Office.
