Twenty-one manufacturers and retailers generated sales of P643,590.81 during the Department of Trade and Industry Region 10’s Diskwento Caravan held at the Cagayan de Oro City Hall Mini Park on October 2-4, 2024.

The Diskwento Caravan is conducted by DTI to provide basic necessities to consumers at price in accordance with the suggested retail prices or at discounted rates.

It also serves as an avenue for micro, small, and medium enterprise (MSME) manufacturers of basic goods to sell their products to a larger market.

The three-day caravan recorded 5,097 buyers.

Grocery items, meat, food products, and home supplies were among those sold during the caravan.

The Diskwento Caravan was organized as one of the major activities in celebration of Consumer Welfare Month 2024. ♦
