Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Region 10 organized a virtual Government Services Forum for 54 mentees of the Batch 2 of DTI’s Kapatid Mentor Me-Money Market Encounter (KMME-MME) 2024 Program on August 15, 2024.

The Government Services Forum aims to enhance the mentees’ knowledge on programs and services of the different government agencies and how to leverage them for business growth.

The government agencies present were DTI, Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), Department of Science and Technology (DOST), and Small Business (SB) Corporation, an attached agency of DTI.

Mr. Zuein Guantero of Capili, Inc. said that the government services forum made him aware and appreciate the existing services being offered by the featured government agencies.

“As a business person, we are adamant in pursuing our visions to take our businesses to the next level, but of course, not all of us have lots of financial resources at our disposal to make our plans come to reality.” Guantero said.

“Knowing that we can access these financial windows and support from our government makes our everyday battle a little bit bearable.”

DTI-10 OIC-Assistant Regional Director Almer Masillones, in her closing remarks, expressed for the MSMEs to be empowered to scale up their businesses by incorporating the insights they learned in the forum in their strategies to help take their businesses to the next level.

“We hope that the knowledge our mentees have gained will be invaluable as they move forward to the next important step of the program.” ARD Masillones said.

Aside from the 10 modules, the Government Services Forum is a component of the KMME-MME program that will help the mentees in developing their business improvement plan, which is a requirement to complete the program. ♦
