
Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Region 10 awarded the stakeholders of its special project during the Rural Agro-enterprise Partnership for Inclusive Development (RAPID) Growth Project Regional Value Chain Summit on December 4, 2024 at N Hotel, Cagayan de Oro City.
DTI-10’s RAPID Growth Project recognized 12 anchors firms, five local government units, and 38 farmer organizations for their participation, contribution, and commitment to the project’s success.
The stakeholders awarded are involved in coffee, cacao, and coconut commodities in Bukidnon, Lanao del Norte, and Misamis Oriental.
Funded by the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD), RAPID Growth Project is a value-chain based and market-driven business development initiative that aims to propel agriculture-based processing enterprises and entrepreneurial communities to become innovative, productive, and competitive so that they will be capacitated in meeting the challenges of the global market.
The project is implemented in region 10 in Bukidnon, Lanao del Norte, and Misamis Oriental.
The RAPID Regional Value Chain Summit was organized as an avenue to foster collaboration and synergy with the stakeholders from the three provinces and to promote and showcase their products.
The regional summit is also aimed at aligning the stakeholders with the project’s goals and awareness in developing the coffee, cacao, and coconut industries to support the sustainable economic growth in Northern Mindanao. ♦
