As part of the significant steps towards fostering MSME development and women empowerment, DTI R2 Nueva Vizcaya Provincial Director Atty. Michael B. Paggabao met with Project Officer Vener Valerio of Catalyste+ (formerly known as Canadian Executive Service Organization), as the latter conducted a courtesy visit on 09 July 2024.
Catalyste+ is a Canadian economic development organization which offers mentorship and advisory services to strengthen economies in Canada and other emerging countries around the world.
Mr. Valerio discussed their new initiative, the Accelerating Women Empowerment (AWE) Program, which aims to assist and guide MSMEs, particularly women entrepreneurs and women groups, in enhancing their capabilities across all aspects of business management, including business operations, product development, financial management, sales and marketing, and customer service.
Moreover, one of the project highlights is the digital transformation for womenpreneurs, focusing on capacitation training for e-commerce website development and digital marketing.
Recognizing the project’s significant potential impact, PD Paggabao expressed his full support and commitment to collaborating with Catalyste+ to implement the project in the Province of Nueva Vizcaya.
The project will span approximately one month, beginning with an onsite visit and needs assessment by Catalyste+ representatives, followed by training and mentoring sessions conducted by experts and consultants from Canada.
With the synergy between DTI R2 Nueva Vizcaya and Catalyste+, this collaboration is expected not only to provide substantial support and opportunities for women entrepreneurs, but also drive economic growth in the province.
