

Bayombong, Nueva Vizcaya — In a significant move to empower local creatives affected by Super Typhoon Pepito, the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Region 2 Nueva Vizcaya Provincial Office awarded financial assistance to 40 Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) under the creative industry on 13 January 2025. The distribution was spearheaded by Acting Assistant Regional Director Atty. Michael Paggabao and Acting Provincial Director Ramil Garcia, CPA, who both highlighted that this assistance represented more than just monetary support; it is a reaffirmation of DTI’s commitment to help them rise above challenges, continue innovating, and inspire resilience.
The beneficiaries of the program expressed their heartfelt gratitude to DTI R2 Nueva Vizcaya for the timely assistance. Many shared how the support would help them rebuild their businesses, restore their creative endeavors, and regain their livelihoods after the challenges brought by the typhoon.
In his closing remarks, STIDS Richard Siuagan, Unit Head of the MSME Development Unit, representing BDD Chief Lenore Lee S. Lopez, congratulated the beneficiaries and encouraged them to seize this opportunity to innovate, collaborate, and inspire a stronger, more vibrant creative sector in Nueva Vizcaya.
With renewed hope and determination, the creative industry champions of Nueva Vizcaya look forward to a brighter future and an environment where creativity continues to flourish despite adversities.
