The recently concluded Balik Eskwela Diskwento Caravan, organized by the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Region 2 Isabela through its Santiago Satellite Office and Consumer Protection Division, achieved a remarkable sales total of Php 300,424.50. The event was held from 26-28 July 2024, at Elino Boulevard, New Public Market, Santiago City. The said activity had successfully supported incoming students by providing essential school supplies at discounted prices.

The Diskwento Caravan, aimed at alleviating the financial burden on families preparing for the upcoming school year, attracted over 700 consumers who took advantage of the discounted products. The event featured 14 exhibitors offering a wide range of school supplies, from notebooks and pens to uniforms and backpacks.

Key partners in the successful execution of the event included LGU Santiago City, Konsyumer Assistance, Protection and Welfare Association – Santiago City, and the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry Southern Isabela Chapter. Their collaborative efforts ensured a smooth and beneficial experience for all attendees.

The Balik Eskwela Diskwento Caravan not only provided cost-effective shopping options for students and their families but also promoted local businesses and fostered community spirit.
