
In a collaborative effort with the Cooperatives and Livelihood Development Department (CLDD) of Calamba City, the Department of Trade and Industry – Laguna Provincial Office conducted a webinar tackling quality customer service and consumer education last May 9, 2025 via the Zoom conferencing platform.
The webinar commenced with a warm welcome from Ms. Angelica Fae Rodriguez, Cooperatives Development Specialist II, followed by an opening message from Mr. Leonardo Opulencia Sr., PhD., CLDD Department Head, who emphasized the importance of the knowledge that the participants may gain from the said webinar.
Key presentations were delivered by the two business counsellors from DTI-Laguna: Mr. Syruz Reyes (Cabuyao City) discussed Quality Customer Service and listed down the benefits and importance of having a good relationship with customers and Ms. Ma. Nicole Concejero (Rizal) talked about Consumer Education to give the participants knowledge, awareness, and information on how to be a good responsible consumer.



A total of over forty (40) active participants, both aspiring and business owners, were seen online. The webinar was able to provide additional knowledge on how business should handle their client, both before and after purchase. The webinar also provided examples/cases on how they will handle customers in the event that the same issue arises.
Moreover, DTI-Laguna discussed Consumer Education, wherein the participants were given ideas and insights about what their rights and responsibilities as good consumers are.
The webinar concluded with the closing remarks from Ms. Phoebe Cervantes, MBA, CLDD Division Head, who praised the speakers and other individuals who provided effort for this webinar that will help the participants on their future businesses.
