
Los Baños, Laguna — From March 4 to 7, 2025, the Laguna Provincial Office of the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI-Laguna) together with the Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR) of Regional Office No. 4-A, successfully conducted a 4-day entrepreneurship training program dubbed as Training of Trainers in relation to Marketing Assistance and Enterprise Development Component of the Special Area for Agricultural Development Program Phase II. It was held at the BFAR Training Center in Brgy. Bambang, Los Baños, Laguna.
The entrepreneurship training became a venue to equip both potential and existing entrepreneurs with foundational business skills and the entrepreneurial mindset needed to become more innovative, creative, critical thinkers, persevering, visionary, and confident. The event also featured engaging role-playing of real-life scenarios, interactive games, and activities that kept participants interested. Throughout the 4-day event, step-by-step business skills essential for environmental scanning, identifying small business opportunities, and developing and operationalizing a business plan were provided to the participants. The approach created a fun and effective learning environment that encouraged active participation.
A total of 18 comprehensive modules were discussed by DTI-Laguna Trade and Industry Development Analyst for the Negosyo Center Program Ms. Portia Sophia M. Cortezano and business counselors including Ms. Andrea Mae I. Macuha, Ms. Rica Mae E. Garcia, Mr. Syruz A. Reyes, and Mr. Kim Carlo O. Palacio. By this way, the workshops were able to provide the participants with practical, activity-based, and learner-centered training, organized modules covering key topics on entrepreneurship and life skills that will help them realize their potential, and essential skills for both personal growth and entrepreneurial success.
