12162024_DTI-Laguna in Growth Mindset The Fuel for Entrepreneurial Innovation”

Paete, Laguna — The Laguna Provincial Office of the Department of Trade and Industry and the Paete Science and Business College, Inc. (PSBC), collaborated to conduct a seminar for young Business Administration students titled “Growth Mindset: The Fuel for Entrepreneurial Innovation” at Ash Gallery and Cafe, PSBC Fadul-Madridejos Bldg., on November 22, 2024.

The seminar commenced with the opening remarks from Dr. Aleli I. Magtibay, BSBA Department Head of PSBC, who established the tone for the day’s discussion by highlighting the benefits of the seminar to the students’ future. In her opening remarks, she emphasized how the insights and skills gained from the seminar would not only enhance their academic performance but also prepare them for success in their careers in the future.

The following individuals gave the forum’s main presentations: (1) Hon. Lorena B. Velasco, Municipal Councilor/Entrepreneur from Paete, Laguna, spoke on “Entrepreneurial Innovation,” emphasizing the critical steps involved in entrepreneurial innovation and the long-term benefits it holds for the students’ futures. In her remarks, she outlined the process of turning ideas into impactful ventures, from initial concept development to scaling and sustainability, while discussing how embracing innovation can open doors to new opportunities. (2) Mr. Rafael Yuan P. Gatdula, Negosyo Center Business Counsellor – Pagsanjan, discussed business ideas, emphasizing that understanding on how to come up with a business idea provides numerous benefits, especially for students and aspiring entrepreneurs. (3) Mr. Syruz A. Reyes, Negosyo Center Business Counsellor – Cabuyao, presented “Entrepreneurial Mindset” as a critical asset for success, not only for aspiring entrepreneurs but also for anyone looking to thrive in today’s fast-paced, ever-changing world. This mindset encompasses a set of attitudes, behaviors, and thinking patterns that help individuals identify opportunities, overcome obstacles, and navigate uncertainty with resilience. (4) Mr. Baron Chino C. Capuno Negosyo Center Business Counsellor- Mabitac, concluded the presentations with a compelling discussion on “How to start a Business” focusing on the benefits an entrepreneur can get both personal and professional, that can significantly impact their career, community, and even their financial future. Whether they are aspiring entrepreneur or just exploring new opportunities, launching a business offers numerous benefits—not just for the individual but also for society as a whole.

The seminar concluded with closing remarks from Dr. Aleli I. Magtibay, who expressed her gratitude to the resource speakers of the seminar.
