
Siniloan, Laguna — The Department of Agriculture (DA), in partnership with key government agencies, successfully held a coordination meeting for the “Kadiwa ng Pangulo” initiative on October 9, 2024, at the Conference Hall, Mayor’s Office, L. De Leon St., Brgy. M. Pandeño, Siniloan, Laguna.
The meeting was attended by the Local Government Units (LGUs) of Siniloan, Mabitac, Pakil, and Pangil, alongside representatives from the Department of Trade and Industry, Department of Labor and Employment, Department of Interior and Local Government, and Department of Social Welfare and Development.
The “Kadiwa ng Pangulo” initiative aims to enhance food accessibility and affordability while empowering local farmers through the direct marketing of their produce. The meeting was a platform to align the efforts of various government agencies and LGUs to ensure the effective implementation of the program in the four municipalities.
During the meeting, DA outlined the core objectives of the initiative, which include strengthening market access for local agricultural products, boosting the income of farmers, and providing affordable food options to communities. Key topics discussed included logistical support, training for farmers, and establishing direct links between producers and consumers.



Mayor Patrick Ellis Z. Go of LGU Siniloan welcomed the initiative and highlighted its potential to uplift local farmers and strengthen the local economy. He emphasized the importance of cooperation among all stakeholders to achieve the program’s goals.
The meeting also served as a venue for identifying potential challenges and exploring solutions for effective program delivery, such as enhancing transportation networks and improving farmers’ access to resources.
The DA underscored that the “Kadiwa ng Pangulo” initiative is a holistic approach to agriculture, trade, and social welfare, aiming for long-term sustainability and inclusive growth for the entire Laguna province.
All parties expressed their commitment to work together toward the successful implementation of “Kadiwa ng Pangulo” in the participating municipalities. With a shared vision, the program is expected to boost agricultural productivity, enhance food security, and provide livelihood opportunities for the communities of Siniloan, Mabitac, Pakil, and Pangil.
This collaboration between the LGUs and national agencies marks a significant step toward the realization of the program’s goals. The meeting has a purpose of commitment to fast-track implementation to ensure that the benefits of the initiative are felt across Siniloan, Mabitac, Pakil, and Pangil.
The event concluded with a renewed sense of collaboration among the LGUs and national agencies, as they laid out action plans for the upcoming months to bring the initiative to fulfillment (JCMDrueco, DTI-Laguna). ♦
