On December 4, 2024, The Department of Trade and Industry Quezon successfully launched Kalakal Quezon Featuring Christmas Trade Fair 2024, the first Kalakal Quezon Trade Fair held outside of Quezon Province under the Coconut Farmers and Industry Development Plan (CFIDP), which ran from December 4-10, 2024 at the Mall Atrium, SM City San Pablo, San Pablo City Laguna, showcasing the Quezon’s local products in time for the holiday season. 

As the lead agency for Research, Marketing and Promotion, DTI Quezon continues to conduct Kalakal Quezon trade fairs which aim to boost the competitiveness and visibility of coconut, cacao, and coffee products, as well as to encourage new business opportunities and partnerships among farmers, processors, manufacturers, and buyers. The trade fair served as a platform for Coconut Farmers Organizations (CFOs) and Micro Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) to improve their market matching and increase sales. 

The week-long event featured fourteen (14) CFOs and MSMEs including Flavors of Quezon, Ilayang Talim Agriculture Cooperative, Cocodeli Coconut Products, Facio Chocolate Processing, Pasciolco Agri Ventures, Pinagdanlayan Multi-Purpose Cooperative, Yakap at Halik Multi-Purpose Cooperative Quezon I, Rosales Supplies and Services Plant Propagation, Greenlife Coconut Products Philippines Inc., Myrtle’s Agricultural Farm, SOB Distillery, PRIC Multi-Purpose Cooperative and Mikastra Integrated Farm, highlighting the existing and newly developed coconut based and other agricultural products of Quezon, as well as the province’s tradition and culture.

The Kalakal Quezon Featuring Christmas Trade Fair 2024 was a huge success and demonstrated the positive outcomes of DTI-Quezon’s assistance for CFOs and MSMEs, generating Php 389,685.72 in total sales.
