Morong, Rizal | In a bid to support and empower local micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs), the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Rizal, through its Negosyo Centers Morong, Cardona and Baras led by Business Counselor Leah Clemente, successfully held a “Power Coaching” event on May 26, 2025, in partnership with Meralco, Bayad, and MPioneer Insurance.

The one-day event gathered 30 MSME participants from the municipalities of Morong, Cardona, and Baras, creating a vibrant platform for learning, collaboration, and business development. It aimed to strengthen entrepreneurial knowledge, enhance operational efficiency, and provide valuable insights into energy management, financial services, and as business protection.

Participants were provided with expert-led discussions on topics critical to MSME growth, including:

  • Energy Efficiency and Power Management presented by Meralco
  • Accessible Payment Solutions for businesses by Bayad
  • Affordable Business Insurance Packages offered by MPioneer Insurance
  • Business Development Support and local government services facilitated by DTI Rizal and Negosyo Center Morong, Cardona and Baras.

According to Ms. Leah Clemente, Business Counselor of Negosyo Center Morong, “This collaboration is a reflection of our commitment to provide MSMEs not only with regulatory and training support but also with access to private sector expertise that addresses their evolving business needs.”

The Power Coaching session also opened opportunities for participating entrepreneurs to network, raise specific business concerns, additional passive income, and explore potential partnerships with both government and private institutions.

DTI Rizal, through its Negosyo Centers, continues to strengthen public-private partnerships to advance inclusive growth, improve MSME resilience, and support the region’s economic development. ♦
