MSMEs during program orientation at DTI Rizal

Forging more partnerships to bring enhanced assistance to MSMEs, the Department of Trade and Industry – Rizal Provincial Office teams up with KalyeNegosyo and UB Negosyante, the SME Business Banking arm of UnionBank of the Philippines to launch FAST (Franchise Accelerators towards Successful Trade) Masterclass.

The program orientation was held on April 17, 2024 at DTI Rizal Training Room hosted by DTI Rizal Business Development Division Chief Sharon Dioco. Also present were DTI Rizal OIC-Provincial Director Cleotilde Duran, Mr. Jorge Noel Wieneke of KalyeNegosyo, Mr. Vince Dizon and Ms. Jiliane Reyes of UnionBank, and Mr. Eric Montoya of Mr. Dagupeño.

Scheduled on May 15-17, 2024, the bootcamp will cover the fundamental aspects of franchising, including innovation mindset, franchise establishment, intellectual property, branding, franchise marketing, finance, and more.

As of writing, 38 enterprises, majority of which are graduates of Kapatid Mentor ME (KMME) and One Town, One Product Next Gen (OTOP NG), have signified their interest in the program.

Designed for experienced business-owners with market-tested products and services, FAST Masterclass is a bootcamp that intends to teach the basics of franchising. It aims to boost opportunities for growth for the original business owners at the same time providing a more approachable entry point for aspiring entrepreneurs. ♦
