With the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, the Kapatid Mentor ME (KMME) program transitioned to a digitalized room since 2020. The program, KMME-Money and Market Encounter (KMME-MME) online program aims to guide entrepreneurs in pandemic-proofing their businesses while providing valuable mentorship modules and exposure from the business world specifically from entrepreneurs-mentors.
This year, the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) – Rizal Provincial Office together with the four provinces in the CALABARZON Region will implement the region-wide KMME-MME Online Program starting this May. To kick off this flagship program, DTI-Rizal organized a virtual commitment signing last 15 April 2021. Aside from the 10 mentees, DTI-Rizal led by Provincial Director (PD) Desiderio G. Jurado III, Business Development Division (BDD) Chief Sharon F. Dioco, Trade and Industry Development Specialist (TIDS) Jonalyn A. Adaya, Trade and Industry Development Analyst (TIDA) Mary Charisse Platon, and Business Counsellor Sep Garchelee Anjelon G. Laurel were also present in the said online activity. PD Jurado reiterated that KMME-MME Online Program is one of the helpful and creative interventions of DTI for MSMEs in giving Serbisyong Higit pa sa Inaasahan during this challenging time.
In this significant activity, the qualified mentees committed to attend the specified mentoring schedule, comply with the assignments, participate during the mentoring sessions, post-assessment sessions, and other Go Negosyo, Bureau of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprise Development (BSMED), and DTI programs, and lastly, report their enterprise performance.
Aside from the commitment signing, 2020 Graduate-Mentes Ma. Jovita A. Caoile of Scents and Memories Enterprises and Ms. Maria Patricia R. Puente of Aztec Foodgrowers Corp. who also graced the event gave their messages. They inspired the new batch of mentees with their KMME Journey takeaways and advice.
The KMME-MME online will run for three months covering topics on the key areas of entrepreneurship.♦
