Pakil, Laguna — The Cooperatives and Livelihood Development Department of the City Government of Calamba hosted a successful seminar on business operations, records management, and consumer education last February 22, 2024, at the CLDD Training Center in Mercado de Calamba, Brgy. 5, Calamba City, Laguna.
The event was organized by the City Government of Calamba in collaboration with the Department of Trade and Industry – Laguna Provincial Office (DTI-Laguna) and attracted thirty-six (36) potential and existing micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) from the city.
Ms. Angelica Fae Rodriguez, Cooperatives Development Specialist II, served as the esteemed host, with opening remarks delivered by Ms. Phoebe Cervantes, Supervising Cooperatives Development Specialist, setting the tone for an insightful and informative session.
The resource speakers, Ms. Andrea Mae Macuha and Ms. Danica Briones, Senior Business Counsellors from Negosyo Centers Pakil and Pangil, respectively, shared invaluable insights, practical tips, and industry best practices, empowering participants in optimizing business operations, effective records management, and understanding consumer rights and responsibilities.
To deepen understanding, participants engaged in a collaborative Business Operations Enhancement Workshop, fostering innovation and refinement in their businesses.
The seminar concluded with a Questions and Answers session, allowing participants to seek clarifications and address inquiries related to the discussed topics. The event’s success was evident in the overwhelmingly positive response from participants, as reflected in the very satisfactory ratings collected through a client satisfaction feedback form (AIMacuha, DTI-Laguna). ♦
