ILOILO CITY — The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Assistant Secretary Mary Jean T. Pacheco together with DTI Region 6 staff headed by Regional Director Rebecca M. Rascon visited the Port Management Office-Panay Guimaras on September 7, 2022.

The port visit is part of the DTI’s Supra Regional Consultations for the Visayas Logistics Cluster on September 8 at the District 21 Hotel in Iloilo City.

The regional consultation intends to improve logistics efficiency, reduce logistics costs, and improve the agri supply chain in Central, Western, and Eastern Visayas.

The DTI E-Commerce Office and Supply Chain and Logistics Management Division (SCLMD) headed by DTI Asec. Mary Jean Pacheco together with the USAID Logistics Specialist Jeremiah Acena and DTI Region 6 staff were welcomed by Port Manager Eduardo P. Goles.

During their meeting, PMO and DTI discussed the logistics issues and possible strategies to reduce logistics costs and improve logistics efficiency.

Port Manager Eduardo Goles and Port Services Division Manager, Herbert Navarro, took them on a tour and discussed the operations of the Port of Panay-Guimaras including the ports of Iloilo and Dumangas.
