CEBU CITY — DTI Cebu launched the Sinulog Fiesta Fair 2025 on Wednesday, January 15, bringing together key stakeholders to celebrate the ingenuity and entrepreneurial spirit of Cebu’s micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs).

Leading the opening ceremony were DTI-7 Assistant Regional Director Esperanza Transfiguracion L. Melgar, DTI-Cebu OIC Provincial Director Marivic V. Aguilar, Board Member Glenn Anthony Soco, SM City Cebu Mall Manager Engr. Van V. Aberia, Regional Leasing Head Soraida Mae Cabiara, Paglaum South Events Management Services Operations Manager Helen C. Ybarita, and representatives from the Cebu Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCCI), including Vice President Peter Delantar and Past President Felix Taguiam.

In her keynote address, ARD Melgar (photo above) underscored that the Sinulog Fiesta Fair 2025 is not only a tribute to Cebu’s rich cultural heritage but also a testament to the creativity, resilience, and innovation of its MSMEs. “This fair showcases more than products; it showcases the stories of hardworking entrepreneurs whose creativity and determination inspire us all,” Melgar remarked. She also reiterated DTI’s dedication to fostering economic growth through programs like OTOP, Kapatid-Mentor Me (KMME), and Shared Service Facilities (SSF).

Board Member Glenn Anthony Soco (photo above) highlighted the Cebu Provincial Government’s ongoing support for MSMEs through initiatives such as the Sugbo Negosyo 3.0 program, which enhances the capabilities of local entrepreneurs.

SM City Cebu Mall Manager Engr. Aberia expressed SM Supermalls’ unwavering commitment to supporting events that uplift local enterprises. CCCI Past President Felix Taguiam echoed this sentiment, pledging full support in promoting and marketing the products of Cebuano MSMEs.

Running from January 15 to 26, 2025, at the Lower Ground Level, Main Mall Atrium of SM City Cebu (location photo above), the Sinulog Fiesta Fair 2025 features 37 exhibitors, with 35 from Cebu and one each from Bohol, Davao, and Palawan. Visitors can explore an array of Cebuano craftsmanship and quality across key sectors, including Wearables & Homestyle (20 exhibitors), Processed Fruit & Nuts (10), Processed Food (6), and Coffee (1).

Now in its 19th year, the Sinulog Fiesta Fair is an integral part of the Sinulog Festival, playing a pivotal role in connecting local businesses to broader markets. It continues to celebrate Cebu’s vibrant traditions while fostering innovation and entrepreneurial excellence.
