Welcome to the inaugural Gawad Bayanihan sa Pamumuhunan Awarding Ceremony—a pivotal moment in our nation’s economic transformation.
Today, we will not just celebrate awards; we mark a transformative leap in our journey towards a prosperous Bagong Pilipinas. Under the visionary leadership of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr., we are ignited a whole-of-nation approach, converting aspirations into tangible action, and action into undeniable success.
On February 23, 2023, President Marcos Jr. signed Executive Order No. 18 – Constituting Green Lanes for Strategic Investments. It was a bold move to streamline investments processes and make the Philippines a premier destination for business. We have seen remarkable progress and the results speak volumes.
Through the relentless synergy of national agencies and local governments, we have facilitated 186 Strategic Investments amounting to a staggering PHP 4.63 trillion in projects as of January 31, 2025.
These investments cover strategic sectors including renewable energy, food security, digital infrastructure, and manufacturing—all of which are critical in shaping a stronger, more resilient economy. More than numbers, these projects represent jobs created, industries strengthened, and a future secured for generations to come.
At the heart of this achievement is the Green Lane initiative, a pioneering effort to fast-track the realization of strategic investments and cut through bureaucratic delays. Through seamless inter-agency coordination, we have paved the way for a more investor-friendly environment which assures potential investors that the Philippines is not just open for investments, but actively welcoming them with

efficiency and commitment. Indeed, we have replaced red tape with a red carpet for progress.
In just two years we have made significant progress but this is just the beginning. The success of Executive Order 18 proved that when government agencies, LGUs, and stakeholders work together, we can create real and meaningful change. The momentum we have built is unstoppable. Let us amplify our efforts, ensuring every investment blossoms into opportunities, jobs, and lasting prosperity for every Filipino.

May your efforts inspire more agencies, LGUs, and private sector partners to join us in building a globally competitive, investment-ready Philippines.
