Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Misamis Occidental kicked off a Diskwento Caravan Balik-Eskwela Edition cum Kadiwa ng Pangulo on July 19, 2024 at the Municipal Ground of Calamba, Misamis Occidental.
The caravan benefitted 414 consumers from local retailers, distributors, and farmers who showcased a variety of products at significantly reduced prices.
Diskwento Caravan is a program of DTI that aims to provide accessible and affordable basic commodities to the community. The Balik-Eskwela Edition features food items, school supplies, uniforms, shoes, and other school-related merchandise to help parents save money in preparation for the start of the new school year.
Meanwhile, the Kadiwa ng Pangulo component offers fresh produce and other local products at discounted prices, supporting both the nutritional needs of the community and local farmers.
The Diskwento Caravan Balik-Eskwela Edition cum Kadiwa ng Pangulo was organized in partnership with the Misamis Occidental Provincial Office and the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Calamba. (by Rea L. Florida) ♦
