Export Development Council (EDC)
The EDC aims to develop and oversee the implementation of the Philippine Export Development Plan (PEDP) and coordinate the formulation and implementation of policy reforms to support the Plan. 

The EDC was created by Republic Act (RA) No. 7844, otherwise known as the Export Development Act of 1994. 

The Export Development Council, as a government and private sector partnership, will:

  • Continually evolve policies and necessary legislative action that ensures the effective and efficient implementation of export development plans, strategies, and programs under the PEDP;
  • Create an environment that facilitates development and acceptance of Philippine exports as globally competitive products and services;
  • Measure, monitor, evaluate, and report the progress of export development policies, plans, strategies, and programs; and
  • Champion all national efforts for export development
