THE ORGANIZATION

The DTI has six (6) major functional groups (FGs) which report directly to the Office of the Secretary (OSEC). The following FGs are composed of bureaus that are either involved in line operations which deliver business and consumer services directly to stakeholders and the general public, or in the provision of support to the said line agencies:

 

Competitiveness and Innovation Group (CIG) – Established in support of Agenda 3 of the President’s 0+10 socio-economic agenda to increase competitiveness, innovation, and ease of doing business.

Consumer Protection Group (CPG) – In-charge of the enforcement of laws to protect consumers, consumer education, and formation of consumer groups.

Industry Development and Investment Promotions Group (IPG) – Responsible for trade and industry policy formulation and implementation of the Manufacturing Resurgence Program.

International Trade Policy Group (ITG) – Responsible for trade policy formulation, trade advocacy, trade negotiations, and representation at the multilateral, regional and bilateral level

Management Services Group (MSG) – Ensures operational efficiency within the Department by providing support services to all units to properly equip them in the performance of their respective functions.
 
 

Regional Operations Group (ROG) – Responsible for the field operations of the DTI in the regions and provinces.
