The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) in Davao Region is set to launch the Kapatid Angat Lahat! Program in the provinces.

Launched on October 7, 2016, the Kapatid Angat Lahat!  is a newly-conceptualized program of DTI with the Philippine Center for Entrepreneurship (PCE). It will be implemented by all the field offices of DTI-Davao Region this 2017. It has three components, namely: Mentor ME, Adopt an SSF and Inclusive Business.

The Mentor – Micro Entrepreneur (Mentor ME) is aimed to assist MSMEs scale up and sustain their enterprises by equipping them with the needed skill sets by way of theoretical/conceptual discussions (lectures) and mentoring/coaching sessions. It is a coaching and mentoring program consisting of ten (10) modules to be conducted in 12 weeks and undertaken in partnership with institutions specializing in functional areas of entrepreneurship.  A requirement for graduation is the presentation of the mentees business improvement plans, after applying all the learning from the lectures and mentoring sessions.

This is a 12-week program with its launching conducted by the DTI-Davao regional office, while weekly Modules such as Marketing, Financial Management, Human Resource Management, Operations Management among others, shall immediately be conducted by the Field offices at the Negosyo Centers to ensure graduation of mentees by week 12.

The launching activity at the field offices will be conducted on: March 9, 2017 in Digos City for the Davao del Sur, Davao City and Davao Occidental mentees; and March 10, 2017 in Tagum City for the Davao del Norte, Davao Oriental and Compostela Valley mentees.

The number of mentees per run shall be limited to 20.  To qualify as a mentee, he/she should be the business owner/manager of a micro enterprise (with capitalization/asset of P3M and below) and should have been in operation for at least one year.
